Kiko visited the house one day. There were exchanges of stories, or should I say tales. It has been decades. And now, he is in our house, donned with his already ’shaggy’ hairstyle.
“Wow, it’s pretty hot and polluted now in the Philippines. Decades ago, it was not like this,” complained my unexpected visitor.
“Oh, I have ice cream in the ref. Want some?” I timidly asked.
“It must be Haagen Daz, or I will not eat your ice cream,” he puffed.
“Oh, of course, it’s Haagen Daz. Wait I’ll get you a cup.”
What a nice coincidence. I brought ice cream this morning. Only that it was not Haagen Daz. It was an Arce Dairy ice cream. But, I proceeded with my ‘good intention’ of offering something to the visitor.
“Here it is,” I gladly put the cup filled with ice cream on the table.
“Uhhhmmm, truly Haagen Daz!” Kiko exclaimed with gusto, and as he scooped ice cream from the cup.

In a remote place called the Smokey Mountain, there lived Hannah, seven years old, daughter of Mang Bestre and Aling Igna. Hannah is a little child that has a wild imagination and an ambition that cannot be understood by her playmates and also her parents. She will always tell them that one day she will be able to get out of Smokey Mountain and be someone rich and famous, sweet-smelling and nice-looking.
Mang Bestre and Aling Igna are always puzzled by their daughter’s actuations. They wonder where she gets her ideas. Without them knowing, Hannah when left in the house will go, after daycare school, to the neighboring house, and watch TV. At first, it was like a shock to her to know that there exist beautiful houses, pretty people, beautiful clothes, nice cars, and many more that she had not seen in their neighborhood.
And so after seeing these things from the television, Hannah started imagining and hoping fervently that she will one day get money and get away from Smokey mountain.
One night, as she was watching the moon outside their house, sitting by the last step of their house, she heard voices. She silently walked into the location and saw two men talking. She slipped at the back of a big drum where they save water. The two men were arguing about a treasure they had buried in that exact location near where they stand. The argument lasted for a few minutes but agreed later that they will wait for midnight to come. They will come back in the midnight to dig for the treasure was all Hannah remembered clearly.
When they left, Hannah looked for something she could use to dig and hurriedly went to the area where the two men were standing a while ago. She prepared herself and started digging. After several moments of digging with her tool, she heard a click. A loud boom ensued.

She was invited by her cousins to join them in a gig where bands will be playing. Her cousins are boys and the only female in the group include her and her cousins’ mother.
They all enjoyed the program and the bands rendering their pieces. There were booze all around, too. And there was this popular singer who is the son of a famous newscaster. He was a snob, she thought. Or maybe he was just shy, she thought.
Her uncle had a few glasses of beer after an hour. He was giddy and rowdy at the same time. He was insisting that she take a sip. She told him that she does not drink. But he kept on insisting pushing the glass on her. It spilled.
Good thing her aunt, his wife, and her cousins were there. (She wouldn’t be there, anyway, without them.) Her uncle was pacified for a while. An incident flashed back afterwards.
Her uncle was drunk one time and went to their house talking and bragging and pestering everybody. He approached her and hold her by the side of her body near her bosom. She was stunned by the daring act, she flinched and she went away from him.

A post about Blogsvertise interests me. The site has a very clear narrative about how the process works. It explains how to obtain a great opportunity and earn extra cash. I thought I can try the blog entries option where you write about the topic assigned to you in two (2) to three (3) paragraphs with three (3) text links to the advertiser’s page in your post.
My membership in Blogsvertise is yet to be approved. Of course I would want that my blog be approved. It would be another interesting dimension in photoblogging to earn extra cash, and to assist in the promotion of ads in one way or another. But it would be more interesting still to blog about photos and short stories and I hope Blogsvertise would assign tasks that I could blog about with enthusiasm and curiosity. What could be more engaging than to blog about things that one loves to blog about.
So, here’s a toast to my new endeavor. Cheers!

In an isolated area of the university, an unknown assailant suddenly grabbed and dragged her to a more hidden area. She was pushed to the ground and was about to go over her.
“Wait!”
The rapist startled, stopped, “What?!?”
“Look, can we go to a classy place? Look at this place. We can’t enjoy here. Besides, I just bought new panties!”
