There were other pieces of good-looking fruits that were offered by the peddler. But Granny chose those with dark spots on the skin. Her son asked her why she chose those ugly-looking fruits. Granny replied that they are sweeter than the better looking ones.
Curious enough, her son picked one mango with darks spots all over. True to her words, Granny was right. “It’s the peel, I tell you,” she bragged.
